NYJC peer tutoring welcomes new J1s 2008!
If you like to interact with young children or if you wish to provide your assistance to help primary school students academically, we welcome you to join this meaningful program!
What will you be doing?
You will tutor upper primary students on subjects like Mathematics, Science and English. As of Feb 08, you will help to mark their assessment books and clarify their doubts
Where is it?
Yang Zheng Primary School (5-7minutes walk from NYJC)
When is it?
Every Saturday (except for school holidays and other special days) from *10am-12pm (*may subject to changes)
Some of the students joined this tutoring program as they are unable to afford the expensive private tuition fees. Hence, we hope that you can join our team to assist them as well as to bring joy & smiles to them!

Injecting fun and joy
Apart from tutoring the students to assist them academically, we also wish to inject some fun and joy into the tutoring program. Thus, we do wish to hear from YOU of some suggestions. Feel free to post your suggestion at the tag box!

This year, we have decided to group a certain number of tutors together with a group of tutees for tutoring. These groups will be permenant till the tutoring session ends. Here are the following groups:

A gentle reminder (updated on 15 Feb 08, 7.45pm):
Peer tutoring 08 will begin this sat (16/2) with orientation.
Reporting time: 9.30AM
Reporting venue: Yang Zheng Primary's Hall
Attire: NY Pe or House T- shirt + Dark coloured shorts
Ending time (estimated): 12pm
Please be punctual as the exco needs to brief you on your roles for the rest of the day! We hope that you can understand that our manpower is limited as we have about 22 tutors and yet, the number of tutees is 50. Thus, we hope that you can come and help us if you have the time. Thank you :)
